Delta-V Europe is a foundation (stichting) in formation, based in the Netherlands. We are not affiliated with any manufacturer. We bring together engineers, researchers, road users and the drivers who already rely on assistance systems every day.
We want automated driving on Europe's roads as soon as it is proven safer.
Delta-V Europe makes the evidence-based case for automated driving and works to bring it to every European road sooner.
We work at European level because vehicle approval is European. We work in the Netherlands because the RDW is one of the authorities that grants it.
We argue from published evidence and show our working.
Every figure we use comes from a public source, and we link to it. Where we calculate something ourselves, we publish the method next to the result.
We are technology-neutral. We judge every system by its measured safety on real roads, whoever builds it.
We meet regulators, manufacturers, insurers, road-safety organisations and road users. We say in public what we ask of them.

Our funding commitments
- We publish every funder who gives more than €1,000 a year.
- No single company provides more than 50% of our budget.
- We register in the EU Transparency Register before our first meeting with an EU institution.
- EU grants pay for research only, never for advocacy.
