Mobility for All
Who gains independence from automated driving: older people, people with disabilities and people in rural areas.
Research question
Who in Europe would gain independence from automated driving, and how many people is that?
Method
We identify the people who cannot drive or no longer drive, using Eurostat and national survey data. We look in particular at older people, people with disabilities and people in areas with little public transport.
We review what driverless services have shown so far about access for these groups. Organisations that represent them help shape the questions.
Where we are
We are scoping the data sources. Partners who work with these groups are welcome.
This project has no findings yet. We will publish results together with the data and the method.
